I would like to welcome all bloggers to my new blog. I am new to this, so I'm not really sure of what I'm doing. I hope to be able to have math conversations with my students and anyone else who would like to get involved. So, here I go.......

In a car tour,Phil started at the park and drove 20 km west, 15 km east, and 70 km south. If all the roads run either north/south, or east/west, what is the shortest route Phil can take to return to the park? Give the directions and distances he must travel.
